It's Flaming June (or so I've been told....) and we're are off to Eroica Britannia in the Derby Dales with the great Bean and using that oh so over used term - 'we're really excited' - but we really are excited to be going! This will be our 1st time there and we're looking forward to working with a couple of great therapists, Liz Crosland and Marcus Martinez, who will be joining our merry team for the weekend. To get to know them a little better, we've got, in their own words, a hello to you all out there and a bit about who they are and what they do.
But first I'm going to dip into a little bit about what we'll be doing and what you can enjoy over the weekend with us. And in case you want to make sure you get the most from us, why not make an advance booking - for yourselves, a friend or anyone else - when you want and for how long you want, by going to our 'book your treatment' page and book a treatment.
We have a great mix of festival treatments waiting for you, so drop by for a touch of re-energising and some chill time or why not immerse yourself in a hot stone treatment, Aromatherapy, Japanese Facial Massage and more as well as getting those muscles massaged and eased with Sports Massage by Liz and Marcus over Friday, Saturday and Sunday...
And now all about Liz Crosland
I have always had an interest and passion for complementary therapies and after 20+ years working in the Print Industry, in 2013 I embarked on a new career having retrained in Reflexology and Massage therapy. Since then my passion has kept growing, and I am lucky to work with a range of clients, from sports to palliative care. I am based at The Bingley Physiotherapy Practice and Cancer Support Yorkshire’s centre in Bradford, as well as seeing palliative patients in the community.
Outside my therapy work, I am a keen runner, cyclist & swimmer, which has lead me to complete in a few triathlons. And I can’t forget my childhood passion, which I’m lucky enough to still partake in, and that’s horse riding. My trusted stead at the moment is a beautiful Dales pony called Peggy, a spirited and opinionated pony!
Marcus Leon Martinez
Since qualifying as a sports massage therapist in 2015 at the Active School of Complimentary Therapy, Loughborough I have established a proven track record for providing excellent results for a wide range of clients.
My clients range from elite athletes, business people, musicians to people recovering from illness and injury. I am highly experienced in the assessment, analysis and treatment of sports injuries and also treat non-sporting individuals to help them maximise results in their field, for example helping a violinist to maximise postural stability and comfort whilst playing.
I am a member of the Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage (ISRM) and Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and I am based in Derbyshire where I work mainly from my clinic in Little Eaton, but also offer home visits offering

Deep Tissue Massage
Soft tissue therapy

Pre and post event Massage
From a career in fashion, working for Paul Smith Ltd for 12 years and then running my own brand, my change to a career in sports massage therapy began with a passion in doing something ‘hands on” in a field I was truly interested in and fascinated by. From an early age, I have been a highly active person. I run, cycle, swim and skateboard.
I love what I do, and I hope that I can make people feel the best they can be.
